Attention to detail in organizing this joyful celebration made the atmosphere both solemn and exceptionally homely. Younger students prepared a beautiful nativity play, which opened the celebration. The stunning costumes and richly decorated set immediately created a festive atmosphere. It was difficult not to surrender to the mood of this magical story of the Nativity, thanks in large part to the students’ professional approach to their acting performances. The parish priest in Ocice, Rev. Andrzej Kulicki, referred to this in warm words, extending his wishes to everyone and blessing those gathered. The school principal, Dariusz Wojtowicz, also wished everyone a peaceful Christmas surrounded by family, while presenting letters of congratulations and thanks to those involved in preparing the Christmas Eve gathering. The fact that without the help of parents and school staff the event would not have had a chance to take on such an impressive form cannot be overstated.
After the artistic performances and greetings, the long-awaited time came to taste the prepared dishes. Beetroot soup with mushroom-filled dumplings, sauerkraut and mushroom pierogi, and homemade cake disappeared quickly from the beautifully decorated tables. The singing group from Ocice made sure that those attending the celebration had the opportunity to listen to and sing along to well-known Christmas carols and pastorales. Everyone eagerly took advantage of this opportunity, and festive melodies resounded in the hall for a long time.
