The 17th Bolesławiec Three-Day Tournament was held from September 19 to 21. Nearly 200 competitors from Poland and abroad came to our city. For the first time in the history of the local bridge tournament, an electronic results-recording system was used.

The Bolesławiec Bridge Club players performed very well in the sporting competition. In the first tournament for the Jan Cołokidzi Cup, Krzysztof Grela and Tadeusz Kowalik took second place. In the competition for the Bolesławiec County Starost Cup, Jarosław Molenda and Jerzy Olenderek stood on the third step of the podium. The same pair also took third place in the tournament for the Bolesławiec Mayor's Cup.

The congress classification was won jointly by Joanna Krawczyk, a representative of Poland (AZS UW Technikum Gastronomiczne Warszawa), and Mikołaj Taczewski of Piast Gliwice (they played as a pair in all the tournaments). Piotr Ilczuk from Wrocław and Jacek Leśniczak from Hamburg, Germany, took third place.

Małgorzata Turska-Marcinowska was named the best female player. Twelve-year-old Michał Klukowski was recognized as the best youth player, while Wojciech Gaweł was named the best junior; both are from Wrocław.

The tournament was organized by the Bolesławiec Bridge Club and the Municipal Sports and Recreation Centre in Bolesławiec.
