During this special period, parents, the local community, students, teaching staff and local Rural Housewives’ Associations come together around this unique initiative. The fair was held on 9 December in a fairy-tale setting: in a beautifully decorated gymnasium, with pastoral carols playing in the background.
Alongside the decorated Christmas trees, original handmade decorations were displayed in the centre of the hall, including wreaths, Christmas arrangements, imaginative baubles, Christmas cards and hundreds of other items. Fans of unusual decorations had plenty to choose from.
The festive atmosphere was also enhanced by a Christmas Eve table featuring beautiful tableware, made available for the occasion by the “Manufaktura” Stoneware Factory from Bolesławiec.
Surprisingly, the busy-at-this-time Santa Claus also found time to visit Ocice. He patiently posed for commemorative photos and… assessed everyone’s behaviour over the past year. A very pleasant conclusion to the fair was a speech by the director of the ZSP in Ocice, Dariusz Wojtowicz, who thanked everyone involved in organising the event and presented the organisers with commemorative certificates.
“The fair is behind us, and Christmas is just around the corner… We hope that thanks to our special decorations, the holidays will be even more beautiful and, consequently, unforgettable!” add representatives of the School and Preschool Complex community in Ocice.
