The school grounds and the building itself were transformed on the anniversary into a place recalling the atmosphere of the 1980s. Brazier barrels were set up in front of the school entrance to evoke the atmosphere of those days. The students came to school wearing flannel shirts; there were also quilted jackets and rubber boots.

During the formal summary of the educational project, a rich and interesting programme was prepared in the school building: a lecture by Associate Professor Joanna Nowosielska-Sobel of the University of Wrocław on the origins of martial law and the history of Solidarność; thematic exhibitions, including arrest records for: Jan Filipek, Zbigniew Razik, Antonina Zenona Dutkowska; historical films were screened, as well as films made by students as part of the Gim2TV school television project; interviews were conducted with people arrested during martial law, and a music-and-literary programme was presented.
