On Friday, 9 December—already for the fourth time—the Inter-School Mythology Competition, addressed to middle-school students, was held at the Zespół Szkół Handlowych i Usługowych in Bolesławiec. The goals set by Małgorzata Orzoł, the event’s long-standing organizer, were above all: to disseminate knowledge of antiquity; to interpret the signs, symbols and motifs that emerged in ancient times; and to make young people aware of the cultural community shared by the entire Mediterranean civilization.
The winning team from the II Private Middle School received the School Director’s Cup. Moreover, at the “Café at Zeus’s,” the middle-school students could enjoy delicacies prepared by the “Olympian confectioners” from ZSHiU. “We congratulate all participants and their supervisors, thank them for taking part and invite them back next year,” the organizers add.
