– Opposition councillors are attacking us, saying that we are cementing the coalition with the help of Stanisław “Armoured” Chwojnicki from the SLD. That we have to pay him for being the swing vote, while they would never stoop to such a thing – complain local government officials from the Bolesławiec County Board who wish to remain anonymous. – We will show them that we, too, know how to save money.
What is the plan? County Governor Karol Stasik (Civic Platform) and Deputy County Governor Tomasz Gabrysiak from Piotr Roman’s team will give up part of their salaries so that taxpayers will not have to pay Chwojnicki approximately PLN 13,000 a month for serving as a member of the County Board. – We hope that this move will open the eyes of the doubters in the opposition.
