– The notification stated that ceramic products of Zakłady Ceramiczne Bolesławiec (ZC) worth approximately PLN 500,000 had been stolen, as well as semi-finished products worth a similar amount, the portal istotne.pl was told by Violetta Niziołek, spokesperson for the Jelenia Góra District Prosecutor’s Office.
As we have established, the notification also concerns the falsification of inventory documents. – These products were allegedly stolen over an extended period, and this had not previously been detected. It was only detected by the current ZC management board, adds Violetta Niziołek.
– We do not know what happened to the products that disappeared, which is why we submitted the notification, stresses Wiesław Ogrodnik, the current president of Zakłady Ceramiczne Bolesławiec. – We did not indicate in it who was at fault, because that is not our role.
– I have nothing to reproach myself for. What I did, I did in accordance with professional standards. I cannot comment on these allegations, Karol Stasik says in an interview with istotne.pl Karol Stasik, who has not been president of the Works since May and was elected Bolesławiec County Head this week.
The notification was initially submitted directly to the Regional Prosecutor’s Office in Wrocław, which forwarded it to Jelenia Góra; it was then sent to the District Prosecutor’s Office in Bolesławiec.

The notification states that 80 tonnes of ceramics, representing an entire month’s production, disappeared from ZC between 2008 and 2016. The prosecutorial proceedings are scheduled to last several months. The current management board will be questioned first, followed by possible questioning of employees.
