Officers of the Bolesławiec Municipal Police inspected the boiler room and the furnace located inside it. It turned out that no waste was being burned there. (Natural wood and coal were being burned.) However, the municipal officers were concerned by the very dense smoke, accompanied by sparks and soot, coming from the chimney in question. The fire service was called to the scene and determined that soot had caught fire in the chimney flue. The firefighters took the appropriate measures.
What is more, it was found that the chimney had not been cleaned for a long time, as indicated by its very poor condition. The District Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Bolesławiec is carrying out further activities in this matter.
