The incident occurred on Monday, November 7, before 2:00 p.m., between Brzeźnik (Bolesławiec municipality) and Zabłocie (Nowogrodziec municipality). The 26-year-old Nowogrodziec resident driving a Peugeot failed to adjust his speed to the road conditions, lost control of the vehicle, crossed into the opposite lane and collided head-on with a Volkswagen Touran driven by a 64-year-old resident of Nowogrodziec municipality. As a result of the collision, the VW struck a tree. Fortunately, the driver did not suffer any serious injuries.
The driving licence of the person responsible for the collision was taken away. The case will be decided in court.
