The visitors started the match better, but after a while the “Electrics” took the initiative and won the first and second sets (to 23 and 17, respectively). In the third set, the Bolesławiec team had already built a six-point lead. However, the home side then lost concentration, and the set went to the Poznań team (24:26). The fourth set was dominated by BTS Elektros Bolesławiec, who won it 25:17 and the entire match 3:1 (25:23, 25:17, 24:26, 25:17).

– I said earlier that one victory could give us wings. I believe things will only get better from now on – comments Marcin Sobczyszyn, coach of the BTS Elektros senior team. – We are not getting carried away, even though we have won two matches in a row. We know what we need to work on. We still make mistakes, as in the third set. That result should not have happened to us. We were leading 13:7, but our opponents caught up. Then came a tense finish and we unnecessarily lost the set. But in the next one, the players showed character. I think we will bring our supporters plenty of joy yet.

– It should have been 3:0; it is 3:1. The most important thing is that we earned three points and the team’s morale has risen considerably – says Jacek Łuczkowski, president of the Bolesławiec Volleyball Association. – If someone had told me four years ago that we would beat Wrocław and Poznań and still feel dissatisfied, I would not have believed them. Our goal of finishing mid-table has become realistic. It is difficult to single out any of our players today; everyone played brilliantly. Each person contributed to this victory.
