Entries may be submitted to the competition in the fields of the history and present-day life of our city, provided they were defended during the 2006/2007 and 2007/2008 academic years at any public or non-public higher education institution in Poland. The topics should focus on improving Bolesławiec’s competitiveness on the domestic and foreign markets, as well as relate to the implementation of development plans adopted by the authorities of the City of Bolesławiec.
Each higher education institution may submit any number of master’s theses that its authorities consider creative, innovative and deserving of wide dissemination. Each supervisor may submit only one thesis. Entries should be sent by post by September 20, 2008 (the postmark date is decisive) to:

The envelope should bear the note: “Competition for the Best Master’s or Doctoral Thesis.” The winners will receive certificates and cash prizes in the following net amounts:
- First prize – PLN 3,000
- Second prize – PLN 2,000
- Third prize – PLN 1,000
Supervisors of the winning theses will receive certificates and PLN 1,000. In addition, the honored competition entries may be published at the expense of Bolesławiec City Hall, while the institutions represented by the winners will receive preference when applying to arrange student internships at the municipal office.
