A mammogram takes only a few minutes and involves taking four X-ray images—two views of each breast. It makes it possible to identify and detect so-called asymptomatic changes (lumps and other abnormalities in the breast) at a very early stage of development—when they cannot be felt by the woman or a doctor, which significantly increases the chances of recovery.

– Although mammography is the most effective method of breast cancer prevention, still fewer than half of women have undergone a free examination as part of the Population-Based Early Breast Cancer Detection Program, says Dr. Małgorzata Cymerman of Lux Med Diagnostyka. – We encourage women to undergo breast cancer screening, as it is the most common malignant tumor among Polish women.

Lux Med Diagnostyka invites women to free mammography screenings in a mobile screening unit, which will take place in the following locations in Bolesławiec County:

  • Nowogrodziec – November 7, parking lot at the Municipal Office, ul. Rynek 1
  • Osiecznica – November 9 in front of the clinic, by the Municipal Services Facility, ul. Piaskowa 1A
  • Kruszyn – November 10 by the Primary School, Kasztanowa 1
  • Gromadka – November 13 by the Municipal Culture and Sports Centre, ul. Szkolna 9.
