The main city-wide ceremonies marking the 50TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE END OF WORLD WAR II AND VICTORY OVER FASCISM will be held in Bolesławiec on 9 May (Tuesday).
Programme: 12:00 – ROLL CALL OF THE FALLEN in front of the MONUMENT TO THE SECOND POLISH ARMY
17:00 – MILITARY PARADE DRILL DISPLAY AND PERFORMANCE BY A MILITARY BAND at Marshal Józef Piłsudski Square – CEREMONIAL CONCERT in the “FORUM” cinema hall
Admission is free; details are provided on the information posters. On 19 May this year, as part of the VICTORY DAY celebrations, a CEREMONIAL GATHERING OF COMBATANTS FROM THE BOLESŁAWIEC REGION will be held, organised with the participation of the local authorities and the military. The meeting is planned outside the city, at the JW 4355 recreation centre near Trzebień.
