On Sunday morning, 7 May, a shooting competition was held at the garrison shooting range, with 14 teams from the Jelenia Góra Voivodeship taking part. The four-person teams consisted of two seniors, a junior and a representative of the “fairer half” of our family. The competitors fired small-calibre rifles at sport targets set up 50 metres away. Our team, comprising Wioletta Koczoń, Grzegorz Mielczarek, Marek Mielczarek and Franciszek Walski, came fifth with a score of 302 points. Wioletta Koczoń achieved the highest score in the Bolesławiec team – 82 out of a possible 100 points! On behalf of the city president, the cup was presented to the winning team, “UWKS Polonia 1” from Jelenia Góra, by the deputy, Mr Jan Jasiukiewicz.
The event was organised by the Municipal Sports and Recreation Centre, represented by Ms Albina Kamińska. The smooth running of the event was primarily thanks to the soldiers of the 18th Rocket Regiment, among whom Capt. Dariusz Pakuła served as chief judge.
