"The May issue of "Głos Bolesławca" has been published, as interesting as ever, and placing information about the Jewish community in Bolesławiec, the local Dominicans and... Freemasonry (which is anticlerical and cosmopolitan in nature) on one page seems the height of—perhaps unintentional—perversity. Certainly, however, such an arrangement of the newspaper allows its readers to realise how complicated the city's history is and how much patient tolerance is needed not to destroy the bonds that bring people together.

The favourable review was written, as always, by the editor of "Gazeta Robotnicza", CEZARY WIKLIK. While in this part of the opinion concerning the selection of content we can assure the Author that there was no randomness involved (the materials for publication are prepared by a historian by training and well-known regional activist of the Lower Silesian Social and Cultural Society, TMB chairman, MSc Zygmunt Brusiło), the associations concerning eroticism and Hindu sex presumably result both from the writer's vivid imagination and from the entirely accidental selection of an uncaptioned photograph (the renovation of a historic turret on a townhouse in the Market Square). Sharp wit—we have a sense of humour... As the ancient Romans used to say—errare humanum est...
