There is never too much knowledge... This was the premise adopted by Bolesławiec councillors who took part in a two-day training session held on 9–10 June of this year in Świeradów-Zdrój. At the “FORTUNA” holiday resort, lectures and seminars lasting many hours were conducted by Dr Jerzy KORCZAK of the University of Wrocław and Director CZARNECKI of the Board of Education’s Delegation in Lubań. The participants praised the high substantive standard of the classes and the speakers’ expertise. Both spoke about the rights and duties of councillors and about the manner in which local government would take over education and schooling as of 1 January 1996.
The meeting also had a social and integrative dimension, as it included a shared-cost entertainment evening and a formal dinner—opportunities for an informal exchange of views and opinions. In this respect, too, a complete consensus can be noted...
