Around 30 children from Belarus spent an unforgettable June holiday as guests of the Bolesławiec Sisters Adorers in the monastery building on Zgorzelecka Street. Here they found a family atmosphere, daily meals and accommodation, as well as exciting trips around Lower Silesia. Tourist excursions took the young people along the trails of the Karkonosze Mountains to Śnieżka, as well as to Wrocław. For the young residents of the flatlands of Belarus, the mountains were a unique attraction.
The patron of this beautiful initiative was Canon Andrzej Gidziński, parish priest of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ parish. The circle of kind sponsors also included the charitable organization "Caritas", the local MZK /free coach/ and MOSiR, which provided the children with free admission to swimming pools. Caring support, an attractive program and the beauty of the town on the Bóbr River—all of this made for an unforgettable adventure of a lifetime for the young Belarusians.
