The now-famous Kargul and Pawlak Museum in Lubomierz is the achievement of... a Bolesławiec resident, Zdzisław Mirecki. Our editorial colleague, a well-known collector of business cards belonging to various personalities from around the world, proposed establishing a cultural institution here as part of promoting the charming town, gathering exhibits connected with the filming of popular movies in local outdoor locations, especially Sylwester Chęciński’s comedies. The idea caught on, and Lubomierz gained a major tourist attraction.
