Four unidentified men wearing balaclavas broke into a bar on the A-12 road and forced the staff to hand over PLN 270.
On Road No. 4, at the intersection in Jeleniów, a bus driver lost control after sudden braking and collided with a lorry. Eight people were injured. On Road No. 4, unknown perpetrators committed a robbery against a citizen of Russia, taking his BMW passenger car and leaving behind the Ford Taunus used in the robbery.
Following rapid information received via CB radio, police officers detained three young men who, while intoxicated and moving around Bolesławiec, were smashing the glass elements of a bus shelter and the windows of a kiosk.
After receiving rapid telephone information, police officers caught the perpetrator of burglaries at three cars in a direct pursuit. The investigation established that a three-person criminal group—two adults and a minor—had committed approximately 14 different offences, including burglaries of cars and construction sites. The effects of registering bicycles in the police computer system are becoming increasingly visible—very positive effects for both the police and bicycle owners. A dozen or so bicycles were stolen in the Bolesławiec area during the half-year. At the beginning of September, a cyclist riding a stolen bicycle was detained during a routine check. As a result of intensive efforts by community police officers, it was established that he was responsible for bicycle thefts. The other four members of the bicycle-theft group were also identified. Two adults and three minors had stolen a total of 15 bicycles, most of which were recovered and will be returned to their owners. Therefore, once again we appeal to you to contact the head of the community police officers at the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec in order to enter the data into the police computer system and reduce potential thieves’ chances.
At the same time, the District Police Commander in Bolesławiec thanks everyone for promptly reporting crimes being committed, as this enables the police to respond quickly and effectively. For example, this led to the identification and detention of the perpetrator of elevator arsons in Bolesławiec and the perpetrators of car burglaries.
