SCARFERS – wear shirts and scarves in the colors of sports clubs, of which they are genuine supporters. Some of them (hooligans) are responsible for property damage during matches and while travelling (beating passengers, damaging trains and buses). They commit thefts and robberies. They abuse alcohol.
HIPPIES – wear long hair, loose sweatshirts or flannel shirts, jeans, trainers, and ornaments such as beads and peace symbols. Particularly dangerous phenomena accompanying the hippie movement in Poland include, among others: denying the obligation to attend school, using and distributing drugs and other intoxicating substances, and committing crimes in connection with this, such as breaking into pharmacies and pharmaceutical wholesalers, stealing and forging prescriptions.
ROCKERS – are passionate about motorcycles. They wear black leather jackets or vests and leather boots. They wear patches reading: SS, War, Wermacht on their jackets. They wear headbands to hold back their long hair. They most often violate traffic regulations.
PUNKS – wear black leather jackets with numerous inscriptions, distressed denim trousers, heavy boots – “combat boots”, leather belts with studs – “fists”, and round earrings in their ears. They shave the sides of their heads and most often comb their hair into what is known as a mohawk. For the most part, they are socially maladjusted young people with low educational aspirations who use intoxicants – “sniffers”; they take part in fights using dangerous implements. They commit common criminal offences.
SKINHEADS – cut their hair short or shave their heads completely; they wear reversible “aviator” jackets – black and orange – turned to the bright side during a fight (a brawl), and high, heavy boots with colored laces. They often display aggression and intolerance rooted in nationalism. They are responsible for robberies, beatings and even murders. They commit theft and damage property.
Representatives of several of the subcultures mentioned use drugs. Drug addiction in Poland is reaching alarming proportions. This means tragedy for the individual as well as for their immediate surroundings. It is enough to mention that drug addicts constitute the primary risk group for contracting AIDS.
If you suspect that your child is taking drugs, observe their behavior, because taking various intoxicating substances produces different symptoms. THEREFORE, PAY ATTENTION TO: unjustified failures at school, unauthorized absence from classes;

-spending the night away from home, although this had not happened before;
-aggressive behavior, sudden outbursts of panic and fear;
-needle marks on the arms and legs, along the course of the veins;
-bloodstains on clothing;
