In December 1994, the Polish Football Association celebrated the 75th anniversary of its existence. On this occasion, distinguished football activists from the province were decorated.
WŁADYSŁAW SUCHOŃ and mgr MIECZYSŁAW JEDNORÓG received: HONORARY MEDALS commemorating the 75th anniversary of the PZPN. SYLWESTER ZIELIŃSKI and MIECZYSŁAW STULIN received: THE GOLD BADGE.
In the 20th poll conducted by "Nowiny Jeleniogórskie" for the 10 best athletes and 5 coaches in our province, the following candidates from Bolesławiec are competing:
-athletes: BARTOSZ GRUMAN and KRYSTIAN PFEIFER.
-coaches: RYSZARD POSACKI, WALDEMAR PFEIFER, MIROSŁAW SZAPIEL.
KAMIL GIZA was ranked third in the Lower Silesia macroregion table-tennis ranking in the junior category.
The water basketball players performed at the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity event at the MOSiR swimming pool. In this attractive yet difficult game, LO I won in the secondary-school category, ahead of the Zespół Szkół Elektronicznych, while SP No. 10 won in the primary-school category. The event’s proceeds of PLN 1 million were donated to Jerzy Owsiak’s noble cause.
Mgr M. Jednoróg undertook coaching the BKS Bolesławiec junior team on 1 January 1995. Training sessions are held, among other places, in the beautiful sports hall of SP No. 10, for making it available to the young footballers warmly thank the headmistress, PANI DYREKTOR EWA NIEWODNICZAŃSKA.
In the next two-match series, the BKS Bolesławiec volleyball players lost the away match against the team from Łużyce Lubań, 2:3, 2:3.
The first stage of the Bolesławiec Volleyball League has ended. The team "GUMISIE', made up of former BKS volleyball players, won without suffering a single defeat, ahead of the "Nauczycieli" and Z.S. Mechanicznych teams.
The best players of the BKS Bolesławiec cadet basketball team are its captain, PRZEMYSŁAW MASALSKI, who scored 117 points in 7 matches, and the popular "Borówka" – Marcin Boroch – with 98 points. "Borówka" is the shortest basketball player on the team (148 cm!), yet he handles playing against the
-"towers" very well, scoring many points both from under the basket and with long-distance shots.
