On Sunday, 18 September, the Asphalt Basketball Tournament organized by MOSiR was held. Six teams divided into two groups took part. Group I featured: Park Jurajski, ZSE and Gwiazdeczki, while the second group comprised Baxtersi, Zbieranka and Inkognito. The group matches were played in a round-robin format. The two undefeated teams from the group stage, Park Jurajski and Zbieranka, met in the final. Zbieranka won the match 50:38, having trailed 20:24 at halftime. The winning team consisted of: Dariusz Wójcik, Grzegorz Jankowski, Waldemar Lechman, Jan Działo and Sebastian Zięba.
On Sunday, 2 October, the Voivodeship Shooting Competition for the Izera Mountains Cup was held in Wojciszyce near Jelenia Góra. Of the 10 participating teams, the team from the Municipal Sports and Recreation Centre took third place with a score of 315 out of a possible 400 points. In the individual senior classification, our competitor, Mr Franciszek Walski, took second place with 90 out of a possible 100 points. In the individual junior classification, our representative Grzegorz Mielczarek also took fifth place, scoring 72 out of a possible 100 points.
The second edition of the Bolesławiec Basketball League has begun. This year, as many as nine teams entered the competition. The following results were recorded in the league’s first two matches: Park Jurajski defeated Baxtersi 85:55, while Z.S.E. beat L.O. 83:52.
Five teams entered the Bolesławiec Volleyball League. In the opening match, Gumisie comfortably defeated Z.S.M. 2:0, winning the sets 15:12 and 15:7. Both of the leagues mentioned above are organized by MOSiR.
On Sunday, 9 October, a shooting competition for the Cup of the Head of Bolesławiec Commune was held at the sports shooting range. The event was opened by invited guests representing the military, police and commune authorities.
First place went to the Sokół team from Mirsk with a score of 329 out of 400 points. In the individual senior classification, first place went to Robert Starościak of LZS Zabobrze Bolesławiec, with a score of 91 out of 100 points. Franciszek Walski, representing the MOSiR Bolesławiec team, took second place with 88 out of 100 points.
On 22 October at 11 a.m., the fourth Badminton Tournament for the Bolesławiec Grand Prix will begin. The event will be held in the sports hall of the military unit; registration will take place immediately before the tournament begins.
The tournament is held in the following categories:
— girls’ and boys’ singles for primary and secondary schools.
— women’s and men’s singles. The tournament is organized by MOSiR and TKKF Nowe Śródmieście.
