JÓZEF KRÓL
Date of birth: July 13, 1951.
Place of residence: 66/7 Gałczyńskiego Street, Bolesławiec.
Marital and family status: married, two children—a daughter and a son.
Education: higher education, civil engineering degree, Lublin University of Technology.
Current occupation and workplace: President of Bolesławiec.
How he spends his free time: when free from official duties, he works on building his own house or at his allotment; truly free time—which, unfortunately, he has very little of—is devoted to reading books.
Positions held in municipal authorities: Chair of the City Board.
Positions held outside local-government organizations: Chair of the Convention of Heads of Communes, Mayors and City Presidents of GWJ; member of the Convention of the Nysa Euroregion (both during previous terms).
Party affiliation: Freedom Union, member of the regional council.
He regards serving as city president as: difficult and highly responsible professional work requiring extensive knowledge, solid substantive preparation and the ability to work with people. He hopes that during his second term he will achieve better results than in the first, benefiting the city and contributing, to some extent, to raising our still-young local-government democracy to a higher level.
