One of the larger schools in our town is the Mechanical School Complex, popularly known as “Mechanik.” It is a tradition at this school to ceremonially welcome first-year students into the student body.
This year, First-Year Students’ Day was held on September 14. As always, during the official part, representatives of all nine first-year classes (three technical-school classes and six vocational-school classes) solemnly pledged allegiance to the school banner. They undertook to conscientiously fulfill their duties as students and to represent the school with dignity in the community.
After the official part ended, an artistic performance took place, prepared, as always, by the students of class V TM.
The frightened first-year students quickly realized that this was, above all, great fun. Numerous competitions determined the winners. This time, they were the students of class I TM.
To all “Mechanik” students, and especially to the first-year students, I wish the highest grades and promotion to the next classes.
