From 9 to 11 September, at the invitation of music school director Jost Nickel, a group of teachers from the State Music School in Bolesławiec visited Siegburg. During their stay in the partner city, pianists from our State Music School, Lidia Jop, MA, Dorota Popek, MA, and Małgorzata Kuśnierz, played together with German students as part of tutoring sessions. A meeting was also held for the directors of music schools from Bonn, Siegburg, St. Augustin and Bolesławiec. The Bolesławiec school was represented by its director, Dorota Pińczuk, MA. The meeting concerned the exchange of experience, more specifically a discussion of the principles of music education at the individual schools.
In October, Ursula and Jost Nickel from Siegburg will be guests of the State Music School in Bolesławiec. The guests’ stay will include, among other things, work with chamber ensembles and a joint concert.
