The surplus was generated mainly by the tender for residential premises on Grunwaldzka Street, the sale of buildings on Zgorzelecka Street, and land located in the area of Modłowa Street.
The surplus is large because more than 10 billion zlotys will flow into the city budget, but the needs are even greater. Here are some of them: more than 3 billion zlotys are essential for repairing the roofs of municipal buildings; at least one street sweeper is needed; buses are needed for public transport; the kindergarten at Dolne Młyny must be completed; the renovation of the Ceramics Museum building, formerly the Kutuzov Museum, also needs to be completed, as does the major renovation of the town hall.
Funds are essential for BOK, the Zespół Opieki Zdrowotnej, and the Liceum Ogólnokształcące. “In the queue” are, among others, BTF, “Głos Bolesławca,” and other organizations in need.
