On 22 May, a festival was held in Nowa Wieś Kraśnicka to celebrate the Peasants’ Holiday, observed annually by the village’s residents.
During the official part, the event’s host, Nowa Wieś Kraśnicka village head Lechosław Antoniak, welcomed everyone.
Next, Zofia Łakomy, president of the Municipal and Commune PSL Committee, delivered a speech. The official part concluded with an address by Bolesławiec Commune Head Kazimierz Gawron.
The artistic programme began, featuring folk ensembles from Żeliszów, Ocice and Brzeźnik, interspersed with performances by the winners of commune competitions. Participants in the Mini Hit List, Song Competition and Disco Dance Competition performed. After the festival, all participants and spectators had the opportunity to dance at a party accompanied by the “LUZ” ensemble from the Military Unit.
During the festival, visitors could view an exhibition of postcard-style photographs from all the localities in our commune, as well as photographs from several of our competitions. The exhibition was prepared by Bolesław Marecki. Many residents came to the festival, not only from Nowa Wieś but also from nearby localities. Sunday at the festival passed very quickly.
