In the area managed by the Bolesławiec Forest District, control of the nun moth will be carried out from 12 May to 15 June 1994, covering an area of approximately 12,000 hectares.
The Forest District wishes to emphasize that the preparations used to control the nun moth are characterized by low environmental harmfulness and high selectivity, and thus meet the requirements applied in the European Community.
The campaign is financed mainly by European Union funds under the PHARE programme, as well as the State Forests’ own funds. The cost of the campaign in the forests of Lower Silesia is estimated at approximately 30 billion zł.
