On 28 April 1994, the Miss and Mister of Bolesławiec Municipality Competition was held in Kruszyn. The competition itself was more of a form of entertainment than an actual contest. The jury, consisting of Jadwiga Nawrocka, Teresa Olszewska, Grażyna Wężyk and Janusz Cieśla, assessed the children in two age categories. Category I: ages 7 to 11; Category II: ages 12 to 15. The jury focused primarily on a sense of humor, the ability to behave in various life situations, intelligence and personal charm.
The contestants appeared in outfits and hairstyles of their own choosing, while they had to create their evening and swimwear outfits in front of the committee from the “graceful” material known as tissue paper. The MISS of the first group was Ala Śliwińska from Nowe Jaroszowie, and the MISTER was Bartek Rajczakowski from Nowa Wieś Kraśnicka. The winners captivated everyone with their charm – Ala with her courage and decisiveness, and Bartek, among other things, with his interpretation of an invented fairy tale entitled “The Singing Radiator.” In the 12–15 age group, the MISS of Bolesławiec Municipality was Anna Wyskup from Kraśnik Dolny, and the MISTER was Rafał Lewandowski from Kraśnik Górny. Both delighted the committee and the audience with their personal charm and sparkling intelligence.
The audience’s MISS was Anna Buszta from Kruszyn, and the MISTER was Kamil Janusz, also from Kruszyn. The audience also had a chance to win a prize by voting for their favorites. Marta Głuszko was lucky in the draw and received an audio cassette.
The runners-up were: Dorota Małek from Kruszyn, Iwona Chrząstowska from Nowa Wieś Kraśnicka, Elżbieta Orawiec from Kraśnik Dolny, Krystian Kukawski from Nowe Jaroszowie, Dawid Luberda from Kraśnik Dolny and Damian Wąsik from Dąbrowa.
All the participants were wonderful and provided the audience with several hours of good entertainment, stirring up many, many emotions.
