Following last year’s successful HEART GIFT campaign (let us remind you that medical equipment was purchased and donated to the hospital: an ultrasound machine and a laryngological device), the Social Committee for the Purchase of Medical Equipment operating at TMB is working this year to raise funds to purchase a LAPAROSCOPE. We have already written about this device, which performs “bloodless” operations; in addition, a discussion was held on Local Television about the advantages of this equipment, with the participation of physicians Jan Ośko, Maciej Pawlik and Stanisław Szczepański, as well as members of the Social Committee.
We are pleased to report that contributions have already been received from well-disposed workplaces, offices, trading companies and private individuals toward the purchase of a laparoscope. BFFiA “Polfa”, the Municipal Office and the offices of the surrounding Municipalities have declared substantial amounts.
PKO employees collected more than 300,000 zlotys, while the Vocational School Complex donated 162,000 zlotys.
The list of individual donors was generously opened by Mr. Władysław Tomczak, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Ignacy Kwik (a double contribution), Mirosława Łosiak, Bogdan Czyżewski, Genowefa Merdas and Stanisław Zięcik.
