THE ELECTORAL FORUM FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE CITY AND ITS RESIDENTS IN BOLESŁAWIEC presented you in previous issues of "GŁOS BOLESŁAWCA"—the only medium in which we could express our views—with the origins of our social movement and an extensive ELECTORAL PROGRAMME. We received favourable opinions, marked by concern for the city’s continued development and constructive criticism, but above all, genuine interest, a broad exchange of views and publicly expressed hope for beneficial changes in the local community. Whether this will happen depends on us, on the soundness of our decisions and on choosing as future councillors the people whose profiles we present in the insert inside this issue.
We have broken with the schematic approach of "party affiliation" in favour of the recognised personal achievements, authority, competence and civic attitudes of the candidates for councillor. The outcome of this experiment depends solely on you, on all of us whose votes will be cast in the ballot boxes on 19 June 1994. To all of us—and to our city—we wish a sound choice.
