A MERCEDES worth DM 60,000 was stolen from the parking lot in front of “Prnjavor”;
A JELCZ truck worth PLN 80 million was stolen from another location;
The following wholesale stores were robbed after prior break-ins:
“Amfora” (losses of PLN 90 million), “Hagra” in Zebrzydowa (losses of approximately PLN 60 million), and the “Moda Dolnośląska” plant (losses of approximately PLN 50 million), a butcher’s shop on Wesoła Street (over PLN 2 million), and the JEANS store (losses of approximately PLN 17 million);
The police from Nowogrodziec detained the perpetrator of the break-in at a store in Zebrzydowa, while the Bolesławiec police identified and detained a criminal group involved in car theft;
KRP police officers detained a conscript who, using a tractor, demolished garages in Trzebień in order to sell their metal parts at a scrap yard;
A considerable number of vehicle collisions, most often caused by skidding, and pedestrian knockdowns were recorded. There were no fatalities;
A German citizen reported to KRP, stating that several days earlier he had stolen his brother-in-law’s car, worth DM 60,000, and then simply squandered the money obtained. He asked that justice be served.

KRP police officers caught two perpetrators in the act of breaking into a car; they had arrived here from Lubań Śl.;
The police detained a man who had earlier stabbed another man in the abdomen;
Another man fell asleep with a cigarette in his bedding, causing a flat fire and suffering serious burns;
A block of TNT and a detonator were found in one of the flats in Bolesławiec. The owner was placed in custody;
A professional soldier detained two perpetrators attempting to break in at the town marketplace. The perpetrators were handed over to the police;
On 1 April (as part of April Fools’ Day?), unknown perpetrators deprived a German citizen of a MERCEDES worth approximately PLN 270 million. Several days later, an OPEL worth PLN 85 million disappeared from in front of the “Bolko” shopping pavilion;
During an argument over alcohol, one reveller stabbed another: in the chest and buttock (!);
A three-year-old child lost a leg at a railway crossing in Zebrzydowa. The unattended child was run over by a rail trolley;
