From time to time, just after eight o’clock, while listening to Programme 1 of Polish Radio on my “Ania” radio, I am exposed to hearing the private confessions of a Certain Lady with a loud and energetic voice. People say that it is the voice of the announcer of Bolesławiec’s CB Radio, whose programme consists mainly of passing on gossip and the personal confessions of the Lady Announcer. I will not reveal this Lady’s more intimate confessions to Readers, but against my will I have, among other things, managed to learn that Mr Henio may come for a cognac (he cannot drink coffee), but other colleagues will unfortunately not receive any cognac, because “everyone cannot”... But they can certainly come for coffee.
The Lady Announcer’s favourite ending to a statement-sentence is “... so that... well..., you know...”.
I would have nothing against this Lady if it were not for the fact that her personal confessions, which are of little interest to me (“...yesterday we drank a little, so that... well... you know...”), effectively drown out the news from Programme 1 of Polish Radio, which I listen to faithfully.
