On 5 February, a meeting was held at the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre between interested partners from Bolesławiec and a delegation from Pirna near Dresden.
The meeting was chaired by Zbigniew Samonek, MA – chairman of the Bolesławiec–Pirna cooperation team. The German side was represented by Peter Richter from Pirna, while Vice-Mayor of the City Jan Jasiukiewicz, who attended the meeting, provided everyone present with comprehensive information about the city’s affairs. All those gathered wished to revive cooperation with Bolesławiec’s former partner city, Pirna. Representatives of Bolesławiec cultural and sports institutions presented their capabilities and offers of cooperation. The German guests likewise spoke about their possibilities.
The representative of the Society of Bolesławiec Enthusiasts, Zdzisław Mirecki, MA, declared his willingness to cooperate and support all activities that would contribute to promoting the city and region, cultivating traditions and history, and developing cultural activity.
The guests from Pirna received an art calendar from the Society of Bolesławiec Enthusiasts, as well as sets of the local publication “Głos Bolesławca”.
