The Bolesławiec Enthusiasts’ Society is a socio-cultural association whose statutory tasks include working for the good of the city, its appearance, cleanliness and aesthetics; caring for its historic monuments; expanding knowledge about the city, its history and traditions, and the people who have lived here in the past and present. We believe that local government is an important and lasting element of our lives, through which these goals can be achieved. TOWARZYSTWO MIŁOŚNIKÓW BOLESŁAWCA attaches great importance to the development of culture in the city in the broadest sense of the word.
TOWARZYSTWO MIŁOŚNIKÓW BOLESŁAWCA wants to place considerable emphasis on educational and publishing activities, as well as documenting the past and present of the city and its people.
As regionalists, we believe that an important element of educational work with young people is expanding their knowledge of the region, identifying with the place of their birth and residence, and developing the attitude that this is our “Little Homeland”.
TOWARZYSTWO MIŁOŚNIKÓW BOLESŁAWCA believes that an electoral programme for local government must put forward realistic slogans, supported by reliable knowledge and providing guarantees of their implementation.
We oppose making promises without substance and engaging in cheap propaganda and agitation. TOWARZYSTWO MIŁOŚNIKÓW BOLESŁAWCA believes that the criteria for selecting candidates for local government should be knowledge and expertise, high moral standards that have been tested and verified, and a high level of political culture. TOWARZYSTWO MIŁOŚNIKÓW BOLESŁAWCA opposes political witch-hunts. The election campaign should be conducted in a civilised manner, both in its language and in the ability to acknowledge the validity of other people’s positions and substantive arguments.
TOWARZYSTWO MIŁOŚNIKÓW BOLESŁAWCA is not a political party and will not participate in the elections or in any coalition. We are prepared to support all candidates and groups that, like TOWARZYSTWO MIŁOŚNIKÓW BOLESŁAWCA, recognise the problems facing our city in the future local government.
