Unknown perpetrators stole a VW Passat worth PLN 260 million from a German citizen;
A faulty electrical system in the STARA caused this car to burn down in Brzeźnik;
A large FIAT was stolen from a garage on Komuny Paryskiej Street and found in a wrecked condition in the Legnica Voivodeship;
A minor resident of Bolesławiec smashed a glass money box in the lobby of the “Forum” cinema (a collection for Jurek Owsiak’s campaign) and took the money from it. The police established the perpetrator’s identity;
Residents of our town invited to a hotel room by a German citizen robbed him of 320 DM. Thanks to the police’s efficiency, one of the perpetrators was arrested together with the money;
A Mercedes collided with a Fiat 125 on the route between Dobra and Kliczków. The Fiat’s passenger died, and the drivers of both vehicles were taken to hospital;
Unknown perpetrators carried out brazen thefts in shops in our town. Taking advantage of the shop assistants’ inattention, they took trousers, a turtleneck sweater and other clothing from one shop, and money from a drawer in another;
Break-ins were committed at shops in Mierzwin and Osiecznica;
A Fiat 126 was stolen from Daszyńskiego Street;
A vehicle from Lubin arrived at a wholesaler’s in Bolesławiec. Its driver loaded 750 kg of sugar and drove away without paying the bill, claiming that he was acting on behalf of another wholesaler;
As a result of a police operation, firearms manufactured in the former USSR were discovered and seized in one of the apartments in Nowogrodziec. The weapon’s owner fled before the police arrived;
Thanks to the neighbours’ prompt assistance, a burglar who had broken into an apartment was apprehended;
An unknown perpetrator damaged an OPEL parked on Sądowa Street by puncturing the tyres on all the wheels and smashing a window;
At night, three men broke into a shop on Staszica Street. A police patrol arrested the nighttime burglars and placed them in custody;
That same night (12 December), the police also placed in custody another individual who took 800 US dollars hidden by his neighbour in a jar (!) in the cellar.
