At the beginning of December, an opening of the post-symposium exhibition of the 29th National Ceramic Sculpture Symposium Bolesławiec '93 was held at the BOK gallery, attended by visual artists, representatives of the city authorities and the cultural elite of our city. The symposium took place in August and was attended by 23 sculptors from all over Poland. The organizers and sponsors of the symposium were: the Ministry of Culture and Art, the Association of Polish Visual Artists in Wrocław, UW in Jelenia Góra, the Culture Department of the Municipal Office in Wrocław, the Municipal Office in Bolesławiec, BOK, MOSiR, and the Bolesławiec Ceramic Works, the “Art Ceramics” Cooperative, the “Przyborsk” Ceramic Tile Works and the District Dairy Cooperative.
The dominant themes in this year’s works were people and nature, although the exhibition also featured pure structural forms and functional shapes. The post-symposium exhibition at the BOK gallery will run until mid-January of this year, and later the works displayed in Bolesławiec will decorate galleries in other cities in Poland and abroad.
