Mrs. Danuta K. from Gdańska Street reproaches us for giving, in our April article “The Hungry Will Be Fed,” “hope” to undernourished people that they would be able to eat meals at the parish canteen being set up at the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Six months have passed, and the hungry are growing hungrier, because prices are rising while pensions and retirement benefits remain unchanged. The reader writes that many of these poor and undernourished people have already failed to live to see a better fate, and asks whether the matter of a canteen for the poor is still current and when it will be possible to eat meals there?
