An interesting and practical feature that has already become part of Bolesławiec’s cityscape is the set of advertising pillars “with red roofs.” They have also appealed to residents of the rural commune. A proposal has emerged to purchase such pillars for the commune’s 30 villages, at least one for each. There will no longer be a problem with putting up larger numbers of notices and information.
The existing noticeboards in the sołectwos are insufficient. At the last session of the Commune Council, on 14 October this year, councillors decided: we will purchase, still this year, pillars like those in the city. It is possible—and we have already heard about it—that the city authorities will also want to install bus shelters in the city next year, like those in the commune; then it will be difficult for visitors to determine where the city ends and the commune begins.
