Our Reader Z. Kaźmierski writes:
"Głos Bolesławca" once assured its readers that it was an apolitical, impartial publication. How, in this situation, should we understand the fact that the newspaper contained inserts featuring candidates from former PZPR members and exclusively post-communist groups?"
Our reply:
As Readers know, "Głos Bolesławca" is still not a subsidized publication and seeks all possible sources of funding for each subsequent issue.
SLD and PSL published their election programs and profiles of candidates for the Sejm and Senate as paid advertising inserts. "Głos Bolesławca" would publish, on similar terms, the programs and candidacies of all other parties or groups, because it wants to be a publication for a l l residents of Bolesławiec and the surrounding area. Unfortunately, other parties and groups apparently saw no need to present their programs in our newspaper.
