The Bolesławiec Enthusiasts’ Association is preparing to publish an artistic calendar for 1994, featuring drawings by Jan Bancewicz depicting selected architectural landmarks of Bolesławiec, Lubań Śląski, Lwówek Śląski, Nowogrodziec and Kliczków. The calendar will be in color, contain 12 pages and have a cover bearing the title (“By the Bóbr and Kwisa Rivers”).
The price of the calendar will be close to that of other wall calendars sold in bookstores.
Each of the 12 pages will include space for a possible advertisement from a workplace, company, etc., allowing the calendar to serve as an inexpensive and attractive promotional gift for a company.
Orders and information are handled and provided by the Bolesławiec Enthusiasts’ Association, Plac Piłsudskiego 1, room 515, tel. 42-55. In addition to the calendar, four folder-style “wallets” are being prepared, containing drawings of selected Bolesławiec architectural landmarks (the Old Town, Viaduct, Town Hall and Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary), with descriptions in Polish and German.
The drawings are shaped like postcards—picture postcards—which will make it possible, for example, to attach a stamp and send them with greetings.
