I would like to inform the Esteemed Committee that there is a football team in Bolesławiec consisting of 21 players. They are young people who are briefly described as difficult. No one has offered them any alternative way to spend their free time, and no one wants to take an interest in them.
Because I was a UKS player for many years and am familiar with this field of sport, I know what it means to belong to a group and to do things together with it.
I decided to bring young people together around me and work with them. For four months, I have been running this youth group on a voluntary basis. The team is beginning to achieve success, and the number of supporters is also growing. We received permission from Director Samouk to use the stadium, for which we would like to thank him here. However, we have serious problems with equipment, funding for trips and purchasing sports clothing.
Our team is a municipal team, which is why we are turning to the municipal authorities for help. We would like to operate within a municipal sports institution that would provide us with institutional support.
I would also like to tell you that instead of lamenting the youth subculture and fearing an increase in crime, something concrete must be offered to young people. My proposal has met with the approval of these difficult young people.
Respectfully,
Janusz Kolczyński
To the Education, Culture and Sport Committee of the Bolesławiec Municipal Council
