Intensive renovation work is under way inside Bolesławiec Town Hall, which, once the restoration is complete, will return to its traditional function as the seat of the municipal authorities. The historic medieval building, a protected heritage site (its origins date back to the 15th century, as evidenced by written references from 1457, 1515 and 1519, which date the construction of the masonry Town Hall building to 1432), will be functionally adapted to meet the needs of modern times. A nod to tradition will be the rich and tasteful arrangement of the future city councillors’ hall, with wooden coffered ceilings, wooden panelling and suitable interior furnishings. The carpentry work is being carried out here by Henryk NAWROT, a councillor in the previous term and a well-known enthusiast of artistic handicrafts.
