On January 18, at the municipal cemetery in Bolesławiec, accompanied by a military band and veterans’ banners, Master of Pharmacy ALFRED PAWŁOWSKI was bid farewell. He was a soldier of the Home Army, decorated with the Home Army Cross and many other distinctions. Above all, he was a pharmacist. After completing his studies at the Medical Academy in Wrocław, he worked in many pharmacies in Lower Silesia, and in 1964 began working as the manager of a pharmacy in the Market Square of our town. He was one of the co-creators of Bolesławiec’s pharmacy services, and initiated the construction of the pharmacy on Asnyka Street and the clinic on Zwycięstwa Street. He also served as Head of the Health Department at the District Office and managed the laboratory at Bolesławiec’s "Polfa".
Kind to people, he was a pharmaceutical adviser to young doctors. A serious illness forced him to withdraw from active life. A good and dependable man, always cheerful and ready to help, has passed away.
This is how he will remain in our memory.
