THIS TIME, A WORD OF PRAISE
Following readers’ critical letters concerning dirty and neglected stairwells (so far, there has been no response from those concerned and responsible), we have received several reports of the good work of caretakers and cleaners. According to readers from numbers 1–19 on Asnyka Street, [...] deserves special recognition. We extend our words of appreciation to the ladies who take care of cleanliness. We await further letters on this matter.
MORE ABOUT THE POND
A lady signing her letter with the initials M.M. writes, among other things: "... We have a small, beautiful pond, on which swans once swam, but today it is a picture of misery and despair... Winter is approaching; perhaps it could become a wonderful ice rink: clean ice, lights, a loudspeaker and... admission tickets. And in spring, when the ice melts, these few small boats, sports supervision, and admission as well. So what if there are tickets? They certainly would not be exorbitantly priced. And how much joy there would be...".
