From their beginnings, Suszki were located in the Lwówek district (Weichbild), which linked the village’s owners and inhabitants with Lwówek’s beer mile, craft mile, higher court, etc. Quite early, this village became part of the knighthood domain in Skała, although its affiliation and degree of independence from the domain varied in different periods. The first mention of the village dates to:
1305 – when it was documented as Cuncendorf ("Item Walditz et Cuncendorfpar fumque Walditz sund mansi positpro XXX, seultetus habet doos, ecclesia I et solvit primo magnum Walditz I Marcam, parvum Walditz III fertones, Cuncendorf IX fertones minus quarto").
1310 – on the third Sunday before Easter, in Dzierżoniów, the Piast dukes – Bernard of Lwówek, Henry of Jawor and Bolko I – resold the road toll from Suszki, Warta and Bolesławiec to the Wrocław Council for 150 silver grzywnas.
1350 – the village was mentioned as Cunzindorf (in 1369 – also Wenigen–Cuncendorf, i.e. Suszki Małe).
1387 – the owner of the village (in the Skała domain) was the Lwówek vogt, Jonas Reder(n).
1388 – Iwan v. Landskron of Stare Jaroszowice bought a meadow lying between Suszki and Żeliszów, which his son Hans assigned in 1394 as a life annuity to his wife Elżbieta.
1402 – the brothers Nickel, Hans and Piotr Hocke of Nowa acquired rents from Suszki.
1406 – Bernard v. Rechenberg resold rents (16 grzywnas) on Skała and Kotliska. They were acquired by the Lwówek burgher Hans Weydemann.
1407 – Suszki came into the possession of Heinze Reder, and after him, in 1422, the Lwówek vogt Tristam Reder, his son,
1453 – Christoph v. Reder, in the year
1466 – the village came into the possession of Nickel v. Reder.
1480 – by inheritance, Barbara v. Sleusser (Slawischer) acquired Suszki (part) and St. Jaroszowice, which were subsequently inherited by her sons Christoph and Hans.
1486 – Christoph’s cousin, Nicke Utman, bought Suszki Małe (Wenig Kunzendorf) from him.
1539 – the town of Lwówek bought Georg v. Redern’s share of Suszki for 616 Hungarian guilders. This information is not entirely certain; it may concern another Kunzendorf – K. unter Walde, i.e. Gradówek.
1547 – Hans v. Redern appears as the owner of Dolne Suszki.
1549 – Kacper Kopatsch of Skała, son of Krzysztof (1518), opened a salt sales outlet in Suszki.
1550 – the village head of Suszki was attacked by Melchior Taussdorf of Dolne Raciborowice on the municipal estate of St. Jaroszowice. Municipal servants from Bolesławiec apprehended the perpetrator and placed him in custody.
We will present the year 1560 and the following years of Suszki in the December issue of "Głos".
