Let’s Respect Greenery
Ms Jadwiga M. (her surname known to the editorial office), who lives on Asnyka Street, rightly deplores the fact that people parking on the undeveloped side of Asnyka Street often take a shortcut to the shops on the other side of the street by walking across the green strip and jumping over the wall. The wall does not particularly “suffer” because of this, but the greenery and flowers do.
For now, we suggest signs bearing the wording used in the title.
DO NOT TORMENT ANIMALS
Iza Olszewska, a student at LO, sent a lengthy letter describing the mistreatment of animals by children, young people and even adults. Iza appeals to her peers not to remain indifferent to cases of persecution of our domestic animals and quotes Article 62 of the Act of 20 May 1971 (Chapter VIII):
The owner of an animal or the person in whose care it is, or the person who uses the animal or on whose instructions the animal is used, as well as the parents or guardian of a minor perpetrator, are subject to arrest, restriction of liberty, a fine or a reprimand if they knowingly allow the act to be committed...”
