As announced, today we are publishing the continuation of the account of the Municipality’s budget execution for the first half of 1992.
In the field of telephone communications, arrangements were made jointly with the management of the Telecommunications Establishment in Jelenia Góra concerning the preparation of technical and economic plans for the comprehensive provision of telephone services to the municipality, together with the specification of conditions for carrying out the project. The funds reserved for this purpose in the budget will make it possible to finance the necessary scope of work resulting from the concept this year. This year, 24 residents of the village of Łaziska obtained telephone connections following the installation of a 100-number exchange in Kruszyn. The construction of the telephone line in Łaziska had been carried out for several years, with the strong involvement of the Social Committee for the Provision of Telephone Services to the Village.
In the first half of the year, adaptation and renovation work was completed at the Medical Clinic in Kraśnik Dolny, which is a branch of the Rural Health Centre in Dąbrowa. The project was financed from municipal funds. The facility is expected to open in October this year, after the necessary finishing work has been completed and the building has been equipped with medical equipment by the Bolesławiec Health Care Complex. The municipal budget also provided a subsidy for the day-to-day maintenance of the health centres operating in our area, as well as a targeted subsidy for the Health Care Complex to purchase specialist medical equipment and a resuscitation ambulance.
The Municipal Culture and Sports Centre in Kruszyn, which conducts substantive activities to promote culture and sport, organised cultural and educational as well as sports and recreational events in the municipality during the first half of the year.
In accordance with the plan, summer recreation was organised for children and young people from the municipality in the form of a three-session camp at the holiday and vacation centre of Military Unit No. 4355, located in Parkoszów. The municipality provided free transport for the children and contributed to the costs of organising the summer programme. This year, 310 participants benefited from this form of recreation.
During the period in question, the necessary renovations of community centres in Nowa, Mierzwin, Trzebień, Kruszyn and Bożejowice were carried out as part of the plan to improve the technical condition of cultural facilities.
Apart from the completed tasks described above, ongoing activities were carried out in the field of municipal services and housing, consisting in the proper maintenance of the municipality’s municipal infrastructure. These activities included:
- organising tenders for the sale and lease of plots, mainly building plots, and for the development of municipal property,
- organising and developing village waste collection points, together with financing the removal of waste,
- purchasing and installing street lighting lamps in several villages of the municipality, and paying for electricity consumption.
Starting from the second quarter of this year, the municipality has independently undertaken the maintenance of its housing stock, consisting in carrying out current repairs and operating residential buildings.
As part of its own responsibilities, the municipality provides social assistance to the poorest families by co-financing their living expenses. The Municipal Social Welfare Centre is responsible for substantive activities in this area and provides support based on an assessment of the needs of its beneficiaries conducted in their communities. Cooperation between the Municipal Social Welfare Centre and village councils is essential, as it makes decisions on providing assistance to those who need and expect it more accurate.
The scope of the completed tasks under the municipality’s financial and material plan during the past period of this year is merely a brief presentation of the work carried out in the municipality, aimed at improving the living conditions of village residents through both the construction of new facilities and infrastructure and the renovation and modernisation of existing ones.
It should be emphasised that these projects are being carried out with the considerable involvement of village councils, village self-governments, institutions and enterprises, with whose participation the work specified in the annual plan is proceeding.
