- On 1 May, a woman driving a WARTBURG without a driving licence ran into four pedestrians in Trzebień, injuring them. The injured people were taken to hospital.
- On the same day, the driver of a RENAULT hit a minor cyclist on Chrobrego Street in Bolesławiec, who had suddenly entered the roadway. The minor suffered a skull-base fracture and was taken to hospital.
On the night of 3 May, two minors attempted to break into a confectionery shop on Asnyka Street. Arrested in the act by a police patrol, they failed to take anything from the shop. The following day, the same minors committed a brazen theft by snatching a wallet from a woman’s hands. Earlier, taking advantage of her kindness, they had asked her for PLN 1,000 to buy a waffle. Neither perpetrator was yet 13 years old.
- On the night of 5 May, unknown perpetrators committed an “act of vandalism” at the provincial hospital in Bolesławiec, destroying part of the control room for the electrical distribution system and causing losses of PLN 10 million.
- On 9 May, a man returning home intoxicated was attacked by an unknown perpetrator, beaten and robbed of his money. He notified the police of the assault only two days later.
- On the night of 10 May, unknown perpetrators broke into the warehouse of the “Bonitex” Technical Fabrics Plant, from which they took electrical cable worth PLN 20 million. The theft occurred despite round-the-clock security.
- On 11 May, employees of STW in Bolesławiec discovered a break-in at the cash office. After forcing open the cash-office doors, unknown perpetrators took PLN 40 million.
- On the same day, around noon, in the city centre, a woman entering a stairwell with her shopping was attacked by a young man who snatched her handbag containing documents and PLN 3.6 million.
On 14 May, during an alcohol-fuelled gathering, a resident of Bolesławiec was robbed by his companions. The unfortunate social gathering cost him approximately PLN 7 million.
- On 15 May, excessive alcohol consumption resulted in the death of a 55-year-old resident of Bolesławiec.
- On the night of 16 May, Primary School No. 3 was broken into. After smashing a window, unknown perpetrators entered the building and, after forcing open the door to the administrative office, took a radio and a coffee grinder worth approximately PLN 600,000 in total.
- On 16 May, a fire occurred in Chościeszowice, burning down a barn containing straw and hay. The fire was probably caused by the spontaneous combustion of the hay. Losses: approximately PLN 20 million..
- On 18 May, on the gas transmission route between Zgorzelec and Bolesławiec, an unknown perpetrator shut off the valves supplying gas, causing a drop in pressure and an explosion hazard.
On 20 May, a forest fire occurred between Bolesławiec and Bożejowice. The arsonist turned out to be a minor. As a result of this reckless act, 1.5 hectares of forest worth more than PLN 80 million burned down.
- On 21 May, unknown perpetrators broke into a grocery shop on Chrobrego Street, from which they took various goods worth approximately PLN 11 million.
- On 22 May, unknown perpetrators threw stones at a German visitor, damaging the windows of his RENAULT.
