A five-a-side football tournament was held in the sports hall of the 10th Rocket Regiment, with teams from Bolesławiec workplaces and institutions taking part. The fact that the level represented by the individual teams was extremely even is evidenced by the fact that the winning team—the soldiers of the garrison units—lost their first match to the MZK team by 0–1, only to meet again in the final and win by a one-goal margin scored in a penalty shootout (the score was tied 3–3 in regular time, while extra time ended goalless).
The military team played in the following lineup: team captain—Capt. Marek Laskowski, as well as Capt. Robert Pochodaj, 2nd Lt. Jarosław Wawrów, Senior Corporal Dariusz Czerkasiewicz, Senior Corporal Jerzy Hynek, Senior Private Mariusz Jarosz and Senior Private Rafał Oko. The reserve was Staff Sergeant Henryk Gliński.
The teams representing the Police and Za-kłady Ceramiczne (managed by director Kazimierz Surmiak) shared third place.
The impressive cup and commemorative diplomas were presented by the Garrison Commander, Col. Stanisław Chwojnicki, who was present throughout the tournament.
